Help with Toadstool

My toadstool leather has almost doubles in size since I got him. I am trying to talk the wife into getting me a 90g tank for xmas. In the mean time is there any way to propagate my leather to cut down on his size? If the water level drops down past the bottum of the canopy then the leather sticks out of the water. I'l try to post a picture to help you see whats going on.

As you can see he is also leaning over onto a piece a LR. I think he does that to prevent from sticking out of the water. I have dug the sand out and placed the rock he is attached to right on top of the glass. I don't know what else to do. I really don't want to have to trade him in.
Thanks for any help.

get your self a razor, and cut off pieces of it, cut off as many as you want big or small, each will grow a new leather, and you can get alot of money from yoru LFS for that new tank from trade in, or you can sell/give/trade with local reefers, Leatehrs are one of the easiest to frag.
get a piece of base/live rock, but off a chunk of leather, a 1"x1" is a good size, use chesse cloth from your local homedepot(the stuff used for painting walls or something) and cover the piece with chesse cloth, rubberband the chesscloth to the rock, and wait a week or 2 to take off the cloth, by that time the leather should be attached.
