help with transporting nano

ok so today my fridn gave me his nano that he practically destroyed,,,the was alot of alge,and just crap everywere, and he also gave me the fish in it ,,so yesterday i bought some coral and have them in my 37 reef until i set the nano up,so i just set it up and spit shined the thing but now i am iffi if i should put the corals in or will i haft to re-cycle the tank i ,kept the filters moist also,but im not sure if i should take the risk of 100 dolers of coralsss,.the nitrate and nitrite levels were a little high befor i drained it but i put new water in the tank ?????????????????????????????

not an expertt but i thought with reef only tanks there wasnt really a need for a huge cycle since u dont really feed them nor do most produce waist so i would think whats left in the filter would work

also my nitrite are about 1 and my amonia 0 and my nitrate about 12 so i have baraly any nitrate but some nitrie would that hurt corals
