i have a dog face puffer a lion a foxface a trigger and an eel the puffer and foxface and trigger started breathing heavy the test showed the water perfect ph,nitrates,nitrites,amonia all perfect any one no whats wrong or what i can do

thnx its a 55 gal the fish have no spots no marks they look fine just breathing really heavy i had the all of them for about 2 years the only thing i feed them is shrimp and jumbomins nothing else goes into the tank this all started saturday nite i checked the nitrates were off a lil and the ph was to i did a 10 gal water change the fish seemed ok after now today they started back up i tested the water everything was ok i no it is im no newbie im just not gonna type out all the numbers other than that nothing else has been done to the tank in months no new additions nothing it all just started out of the blue

oh i forgot to mention this kinda started when i hooked up my protein skimmer and there is about 70lbs of live rock and 60lbs of live sand

Did you rinse the skimmer and pump before using it? The instructions should have said to do this. To remove manufacturing oils.

the skimmer is an old one i have had it in the tank for about a year i just try not to use it the fish seam to act differant with it on after a couple days so i never use it i just stick to my uv light

Is it noisy? Perhaps they need to get used to it. Try turning it off for 24 hrs and see what the reaction is.
When you put the skimmer back on, did you clean it in anyway [since it had been in storage]?
