tak1968, do you have a digital camera so you can post a picture? Can you provide more details about how this developed, is it raised flesh, attached to the fish? Skin discoloration? How is the fish doing aside from this prolbem? Is he sick or otherwise healthy and and acting normal.
Lot more details needed.

The fish is acting normal and is otherwise healthy. I do have a digital camera and will try to post a pic. The infected area seems to be into the fishs skin or body of the fish looks like a white cyst. The other fish and invertebrates in the main tank are all ok. The clown fish has been move to a quarantine tank till i can get him better.

There's aggression going on in your tank, and the clown is a target. Look at the fins. They have been bitten off. Is the first white stripe getting reddish?
What other fish do you have in the tank.

The clown fin was that way when we bought him at the lfs. jumped into tank next to him with two bigger clowns and the fight was on.They also told me that the fish had limp something and sold me some methylene blue and told me to put the fish into a gal. of water (salt) and at 2 drops. And to keep air to the water and leave the fish in the methylene for 1 hour. The lfs said the fish has a fungi infection. The fish didnt make it thruogh the nite. Thanks for the help anyway Beth. Stop using that treatment. Its worthless.
Take a look at the bannerfish in the Diseased Fish Thread and see if that is what you see on your fish. This can also be on the body of the fish, not just fins.
