Help!!!

There is this reddish brown stuff in my tank. It is all over my decorations and on the glass. I have a 2 ft snowflake morray eel and 2 damsel fish that were bought to make sure the tank was ready for the eel and they are still alive. I think I need to get a protien skimmer. Any ideas what this gunk is in my tank? HELP!!!

I would definitely say it is brown algea...
how long have you had a saltwater tank that you dont know brown algea when you see it

Sounds like cyanobacteria..... be sure you have good waterflow throughout the tank (no dead spots) Make sure you're not overfeeding, as this will contribute largely to the problem.
