Help!!!

The other night in my tank my v lion fish and my tang both died while the trigger lived fine and is still living fine. The ph and salinity are both good i checked them both, i cant imagine what caused it any ideas? Im going to take out the trigger and recycle the water again but it has a heavy algy problem that i cant seem to get rid of its brown algy and when i shut the lights off it seems to grow more but when the light is on it it seems to grow less and kinda go away...im really puzzled on what could have happened any ideas get back to me fast plzz

Sounds like a fairly new system. How long has it been cycled? Please post all water parameters, because 2 hearty fish do not die for no reason.

well it's been cycled for about 2 years......so its not a fairly new system salinity is at 29 and ph is at 7.8.

also night before i was told that the tang was pretty pale, and the lion fish's eyes were kind of glazed over, the next morning the tang still didnt look very good but the lion was acting normal eating as usuall. when someone came home for lunch they wbere both dead so i dont know
