What kind of blenny? Have you tried a bit of nori? BTW brine is not that great for nutritional valve, try using Mysis shrimp......

i know that is what a guy that checks out my tank told me, but he said brine shrimp would be good to start off with to see if i could get him to eat it.
he's a lawnmower blenny.

Do you have any sheet algae? Like Nori or seaweed select?
Tie some to a rock using a rubber band and place it where he likes to hang out. He may take it......
My LMB went nuts for that stuff.....

Yeah, I'd have to follow in suit with these guys. If you can't get to your LFS to get some try the grocery store in the foreign food isle and get a pack of sushi nori; it's the same stuff only higher quality because it needs to be up to FDA standards for human consumption. I think it might even be cheaper than what most LFS sell.

Garlic is often a great way to get a feeding response. Your pet store should sell liquid garlic. Soak some Mysis shrimp in a few drops, soak some fresh seaweed in it, etc.
Of greater concern is why the fish stopped eating. Have you changed anything in the tank? Added anything? How are your water parameters?

I'm a little confused why they'd suggest a meaty food for an herbivore. I'd say if anything maybe something omnivorous. Emerald Entree works for me, and a few people that I've talked with at our LFS. Every fish I have loves that stuff, and so do the inverts.

It's been my experience that as LMBs get bigger they eat more and more meaty foods.

Ah, gotcha. Good to know, thanks.

Can't explain it... they just seem too. Plus, of course, I'm going on the assumption that it has algae in the tank to feed on if it is really hungry. The fact that she has seen it quit makes me think it's going for prepared foods.

Absolutely. Try some algae based food as well, but if it is looking bad the important thing to do is get it eating.
Like I posted above though, we need to look long term at why it quit eating.

In the future, if your tank can handle it, think about adding a fuge to propogate some pods, your blenny will love you for it, as well as the frozen mysid shrimp!

I did not add anything or change anything. The water is doing fine. I was concerned that my tests were coming out incorrectly so I had someone come check it out. He said it's just the fish. I have only had him for a week.. he said it's probably because of where i got him.

Very possible.
So, next question; What was it eating before it quit?

Hmm, well in a 72 gallon tank I can't imagine him running out of algae to eat (although you saying you have lot's of hair algea may point to water quality issues. Are you using RO/DI water?)
Try algae sheets like someone suggested. Many large grocery stores will have "Sushi Nori" sheets. These are dried seaweed sheets. Make sure there is no other ingredient. Buy them and soak in some garlic. He should go for them. (you can get seaweed at pet store but it will be much more expensive).
