If I remember my marine biology; they will still produce eggs even though they are not fertilized. Sort of like, it doesn’t take a rooster for a hen to lay eggs.
Since these eggs are not fertilized, then they won’t hatch anyway. But, there are some species of female fish that have the ability to keep the males sperm within their bodies for later use, so perhaps your crab can do the same?
Good luck man.

i doubt you can breed them. i think crabs have some kind of planktonic larval stage in their life, and this is very hard to accomodate in a home aquarium.
