hello everyone....
helping my cousin set up my old nano. found this little critter on a piece of live rock he purchased. there are a few more moving about the tank...what is it and should we be worried?

Pods eat zoos?

some people claim amphipods eat zoos, but most people's response is that they are cleaning the zoos and the rock they are on of detritus and such. or they are eating dying zoos.

I would eliminate many other conditions before assuming you have a bad amphipod. We tend to, naturally, want to think all our animals are perfectly healthy and are being eaten, rather than for some reason they are dying, and scavengers are performing their job.
