Help!!!!!

I need help identifying and treating this eye problem. It started about a week ago with just a few spots on my squirrelfishes eye. At first I thought it was just cloudy eye from his recent tank transfer but its gotten progressivly worse. He's acting normal with his usual voracious appetite-just obviously having problems seeing on that side. All my tank paramiters are fine.

Common eye infection resulting from trauma, such as injury using nets, or dirty nets during a tank transfer.
Unless you have a well cycled QT for antibiotic treatment, then you can't really treat with meds. You can do small water changes to keep all your water reading at optimum levels. Try target feeding this fish with meaty foods that have been soaked in fresh garlic. Info on fresh garlic is in the FAQ Thread, top of this forum.
The only other thing to do is QT.

QT tank currently has an occupant. will ingested antibotics help? im currently treating with Ampicillin. i coata pc of krill with it and target feed him-he takes it no problem. will it clearup on its own?

Maracyn Two for SW fish is the best choice, and its not ingestible. You need a QT. How long will the fish in the QT be in there?

the fish in QT has 2 weeks to go. got it from a unreputible store for a steal so im not taking any chances with it. i cud set up a 10 gal with a few pcs of live rock and a hob magnum that i use for circulation in my 55-its been running in there for over a year. would that hurry the cycle along?

Can you switch the new fish over to the new setup QT? That way you have a fully cycled tank for the sick fish? Can you obtain Maracyn 2?

the other fish wont fit in a 10 gallon-my qt is a 40 breeder tank. hes definitly acting different now-hankging out near the surface instead of swimming around. the eye looks worse-no longer extended but more ragged like its torn. not looking good. couldnt find maracyn 2 around here. did find a bottle of formalin under my cabinet that i forgot i had though
