I have recieved a
PS 75 Hang on Protien Skimmer
for my 55 gallon tank for Christmas.
My tank has been set up for over
A year and two months and i just
decided to get one

Wish i would
have sooner!! I followed the instructions
very carefully and got it put together...
I got it on my tank and everything. And it
works...but isnt the collection cup suppose to
get foam in it?? Mine wont get anything but water
in it and in the reaction chamber i see TINY bubbles.
i am very confused on how this is suppose to work..
comeone please explain!!
I know i have tobe patient and let it run but i do not know how to do so without my collection cup overflowing

there should be adj. you can make on the skimmer to change the air and water mixture to keep it from filling up with only water. also it can take a day or two for your skimmer to "break in", so just keep playin with it.

It took mine quite awhile before it started collecting foam and the brownish liquid in it. I had to adjust the air to water adjust on it for awhile but it finally one day just started collecting. Just keep playing with it.

These forums are great, but so are most manufactures tech departments. (I don't buy stuff without knowing thier tech dept number) I call them often, maybe they can point you to the exact answer.
