my new blenny is not acting well. he is my first and im not sure if he is sick or if this is normal behavior. he was fine yesterday when i got him and he ate algae like crazy! now today he is just laying around hiding and not moving around much. it looks like he may be breathing heavy, but im not sure because i have not had one before. please let me know any suggestions you might have.

no i just set up my qt yesterday but am afraid to move him to it because it has not had time to cycle

Is he still eating? Are the gills swollen, red? Look at him with a magnifying glass to see what exactly the problem area is. Notice any aggression?

Sorry to hear. But don't tear your QT down! Now is the time to set one up and use it for all new incoming fish. That way, you won't have this kind of problem again.
