Helping a friend!

Hey guys! I got my friend hooked on saltwater fish and he would like to start a tank. He already has a 30g hex and i recomended he go bigger. Well he doesn't have the money right now so he just wants to go with what he has. I was just wanting some input on what fish would be ok in a 30g because i know in saltwater that is tiny. Here are some of the things i told him he could prolly put in there and you guys can say yes or no to my suggestions and also add your own. The ones with question marks i didn't suggest to him just wondering if they woudl work. Thanks
Clown fish
Most gobies
Firefish
Shrimp
Damsels (But they suck)
Dwarf angle????
Blennies??
Hawkfish?

I have a 24 gallon with two saddleback clowns and a bicolor blenny. I think its a good combo. I would love to get another fish, but I think three small fish is the max for my size tank, and probably for a 30 gallon tank too.
I also have two cleaner shrimps and snails and hermits...

if i may suggest a goby i would suggest a tiger goby, i think they are very pretty fish and i love mine. I would also suggest stay away from damsels cause as you said they suck. maybe some chromis instead.
