Heplnew tube anemone

i bought a 5 inch tube anemone from a guy and can not find out how do take care of it. it had 2 inch tenicals that where alway bussy. . 2 weekd ago i thought he was dead as all the tenicals where gone and he was shriveled up. He is slowly growning again. I was told to feed him a silver side every 2 weeks. i put him under a rock our cropping . . do they need strong light? could that be my problem?
i can not seem to get him to eat. every time i get close with a silver side he retracts.

I don't think they're photosynthetic. It's actually a worm inside and not really an anemone. Just put the silverside next to him and when he opens back up he'll eat it.
