i also have a 150w mh 20k in the middle and thats what creates the shadow from center beam
some pics have no flash and some do... you'll figure it out.

Me too!!! just when you start to like it, it is time to change it all around. That's what makes it fun. Never get bored that way!!!

I have that same setup with the overflow in the back, almost middle. Hard to rockscape around it...
so you have 3 MH bulbs in the light?

why did you buy 14k's with the 10k's only 6 mos old? My light fixture is brand new with 10k's and I'm debating to replace them with 14k's also, only because I'm not sure I like the look of the 10k's.

to each is own on when to replace the bulbs. i don't throw them out i will reuse them in case of an outage/breakage.
it is a fact the corals will grow much quicker with the 10k... and if you have ALOT or run vho or t5 acntics it will look good. i just am trying a new look and so far i like it. it isn;t as bright though. but whiter color.

I didn't mean to question you on the 6 month thing - in fact mine are only a few days old and considering 14k's. Are you saying the 14k's are whiter? - or dimmer?
