Here's an Odd One..

I recently added a Trigger to my FOWLR aggressive tank...and in the "introduction" process I think my Hippo Tang went "waving his tail" at him...
Now near as I can figure out, the Trigger was tucked in some rock work and the Tang backed in and "slashed/waved" his tail and it looks like his little "spike" must have hooked on the rock work and been "bent" back...
The Trigger was not harmed and they're getting along fine now, so let's forget about him...
But the Tang is swimming around with his "spike" exposed and pointing back slightly, rather than tucked in and pointing forward...
Is this something I should worry about or do something about...Like maybe catch the Tang and gently "push" the spike forward... or just leave it and see if it returns (it's been a week) or or is this just a "battle scar" he'll have for life...?
Or should I post this up in the "Fish" forum...?

Wow, I'd like to see a pic of that. You can post up in the Fish or Reef Forum if you like [Reef gets more visits]. I can't see that you can do anything about the problem. Trying to "fix" it as you suggest would likely result in significant stress, and perhaps even further injury, to the tang. It could be that it will heal up and lay back down as it is supposed to, or it could be that it will be a battle scar as you suggested.
If you can get a pic up that would be cool.

Little bugger won't hold still... and that darn Ryebread won't let me "borrow" his camera for a good close up..
Sorry, hard to see but maybe if you "blow it up" you can get some detail..

I can see it well enough. Would be interested to see how this turns out down the line. Let us know!
