I love mine, the only thing is the LFS recommended only one of these for my 10 gal. So on the other side I have a regular full spectrum light. But I just found another LFS store here that sells the 50/50 like the first one and they are $10.00 cheaper. So I think when the time is right I will definatley be getting one from them.
Hey does anyone know if you put in two 20 watt (each) 50/50 10,000K PC in a 10 gal if that is over kill?

clown-nut, the pc I am talking about will fit into my hood. I have an incadescent hood and they just screw in to the normal outlets in there.
I was just wanting to know that if I put another one on the otherside and remove the full spectrum pc if that would be over kill with two 50/50's in there?
This is the beauty of these bulbs. They are meant for the incandescent hoods :joy:

what kind of tank is that, my g-ma wants to start a sw and that looks like the tank she has for fw so she could just convert it.

Thanks everyone. I used to have a 10 watt bulb but I swapped it for the 20 made a huge difference. I don't remember what kind of tank it is I bought it at ***** as a freshwater kit. (When I didn't know better.) My next purchases are going to be a purple firefish and my local fish store has frags for 5 bucks each so every friday I buy a couple for my tanks.

I have about 3 pounds fiji, 3 pounds tonga branch, and now about 2 pounds mixed mostly tonga rubble. I've found that most stores will sell the rubble real cheap becuase everyone usually wants the bigger pieces. The 2 pounds of rubble cost me $3.00.
Also I think I'm going to make this a mushroom tank so when they spread to the rubble I'll be able to sell back the propragated pieces for better mushrooms.
