Here's my first real tank

Well, I have the first stage done and it's cycling now. I've wanted a tank like this for years. Tell me what you guys think or let me know if you have any tips. I currently have 95lbs of live rock. 80lbs of live sand and a few damsels to start the cycle. Filtration I have an Amirical Wet/Dry BioBall system, Aqua C protein Skimmer and 2 powerheads, one that's rotational. For lighting I have the standard lights that came w/ the tank and a VHO system. I really want to make a successful reef tank so any opinions on where to start when the cycle is done would be great. It's a 92 gallon AGA corner tank. Here's the pic.

very very nice tank!!
The only thing i would try and do differntly is to somehow try and limit the amount of light coming from the hood... (it took my eyes away from the main tank for a moment)..
But i cant wait till my tank looks like that!!!
Great job!!

That's one ov those corner tanks, isn't it?
Very NICE!
I've been looking very hard at those.
There are so many corners in my house that would LOVE to have an aquarium of their very own!:D

THE ONLY THING THAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENT IS NOT PUT THE DAMSALS IN UNLESS THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT TO KEEP. IF YOU WANT CLOWNS OR ANY OTHER FISH FOR THAT MATTER THE DAMSILS WILL HERASS ANY ONE ELSE IN THERE. ALL YOU NEED TO START THE CYCEL OF THE TANK IS THE LIVE ROCK. IT IS A GREAT LOOKING TANK KEEP IT UP..
Just a note:Capitol letters indicate SHOUTING.....why you being so loud?

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, you're right about the Damsels. I didn't think about how hard they are going to be to catch when it's cycled. The LFS said they would buy them back, but with all those caves I built in there, that's gonna be fun. It'll be like the war in afganistan. heh
I definately would like to get one of those Maroon Gold Striped Clowns. I've noticed the cleaner packages they have here. Is 50 snails and 50 crabs too many? Just seems like a lot I guess.

The best thing about corner tanks is the lack of seams......very nice. I was eyeballing a corner tank about an hour ago at the store. 50 snails isn't too much for a 92 gallon tank....I personally would go lighter with the hermits.....maybe 25, and they would all be scarlets...no bluelegs. They are too aggressive in my opinion.

Looks like an excellant start to a very nice reef...best of luck developing it. Keep us posted as you progress. Not that you need it or anything...but check out this link for some excellant info on reefkeeping in general. I'd also think that eventually you'll want to address your lighting...but there is always time for that later.....good job so far!

Great looking start! Man, I'm jealous, I love that just-setup feeling. I wanted to mention another aspect of lighting. It looks like the tank is sitting next to a window. Be careful your tank isn't exposed to direct sunlight. It will probably cause an algae outbreak. Also, keep an eye on the temperature of the tank. Because it's next to a window/glass door, it will likely be exposed to more temperature changes in that part of the room. Anyway, you probably already got all that under control, but thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't considered it.
