Here's where I stand -- More LR?

Alright. Sorry to be posting so many questions, but I've already made enough damn mistakes and I'd like to do at least SOMETHING right.
Right now, my water parameters are awful. I mean, just so bad. My pH is 7.8, my sp is about 1.022, my ammonia is around 0.50, nitrites in the moon (5.0+) nitrates going up steadily (around 10 or 15 right now). This is the third week of my tank's life. I added a bunch of uncured live rock last week, so I have 5 lbs cured LR and 25 lbs uncured in there. And my four damsels. I apparently either initaited or re-initiated the cycle, and because I was afraid for my fish's lives (even though they're only staying for the cycle, again due to my error) I decided to do a 22% water change. Which didn't help -anything-. So tomorrrow, I'm going to get some more live rock, probably about 15 lbs of it. After this, should I just leave it and it'll cycle out? I know I probably made my cycle weeks longer with that damned huge change..
Oh well. Do you think that this will end up being just another mistake?

Your cycle may be prolonged but it sounds like its moving into the final nitrate stage. I would get the rock out of the way sooner rather than later. Youll be greatful for it. Try finding some base rock to so you can fill out your tank. It will turn into live rock over time and save you alot of money.
As for your fish. Wish them luck or take them out. Most likely they will end up dead with levels like that. I would try and catch them and return them but if they are acting normal in your tank then nothing is gonna kill them.....
