Hey guys i just wanna know is it normal for hermits to climb on the inside of the hood?

If they could get to it there is no reason they won't. They explore every place they can.

I've never encountered that, but then again, they couldn't make it up that high. I think they should be ok for a little while, but will probably dry out after a while. Try to keep them in the tank, obviously.
