Hermit Crabs vs. Radioactive Dragon Eyes!!

I posted this in the zoanthid section and nobody replied. Any ideas here?

Yes hermit crabs can eat zoas. if they look damaged I would get those crabs out of there asap and get a bunch of different snails instead.

Thanks for the reply, but that sucks. I have had the same hermit crabs longer than I have had the zoas, I basically doubled their habitat (upgraded from a 75 to a 150) and this is the thanks I get.
I was hoping to hear they were just cleaning the algae off of the rock beneath the zoas, but I guess not.
The same crabs have eaten just about all of the snails I had too, everytime they fall off the glass, the next day, empty shells.
I guess I will have a sump full of hermits.
