hi all ... i have a question about hermits ... i spoke with a lfs clerk and he said that they would eat my feather duster and are not that good in a tank with inverts .. what is everyones opinion .. thanks all

I had one and it pulled and poked at my Long Tenacle Anemome and killed it. So I took it to the LFS and gave it to them.

ummm...the hermits didn't bother our feather duster...nor the inverts. well they'll eat a snail or two once in awhile (blue legs) i've seen the blue leg picking at the bristle star but the brisle just flips him on of him. But mostly they seem to clean up. Just my experiance.

We have scarlets, blue legs and alge eater hermits and they don't do anything to our two feather dusters. They pick at our sherbert sponge but mostly do cleanup.
