I just purchase two hermit crabs and found two small stowaways in my tank. What's the limit of crabs in a 44 gal tank? The two stowaways are too small to even consider but the others are almost as big as my clowns. Are the fish in any danger?

Personally I like the smaller blue-leg hermits myself. They seem more active, are reef safe and in a 44 gallon set up you could have a dozen or more no problem. Get some empty shells from lfs or craft store and put in there too, as mentioned.
