Hermit question.

Hello everyone, my hermits sometimes grab each other. Are the "Mating" or are they fighting for shells?

I always thought they were fighting for shells... don't know for sure.

They are inspecting eachother and or killing eachother for there shell just part of there way of life no way around it, just have plenty of empty spare shells for them to move into
