Hermit ---

I have some blue and some green hermits, yesterday I watched two of them meet on a rock where I thought they were going to fight. Both of them rolled off the rock and landed in the sand still clenched together.
Then thier shells began a sort of... well how should I say it? A rythmic bumping together sort of motion, this lasted for about 30 seconds then they parted and went seperate ways.
I didn't get a good enough look to see if the were the same color or not, but is it a possibility that I could have baby hermits sometime soon????

So I found this little guy like a few months back in my sump, riding on a turbo snail.
He moves with lightning speed, about 5x faster than a regular snail but he has no shell!!
He has antennas and is soft and slimy when you first touch him, but then he hardens like a rock!
What is this little guy and should I put him back in my sump or is he bad?

I've seen many of my hermits acting that way.... and we've had teeeeeny tiny lil hermit crabs weeks later. Your guess is as good as mine, but if they are mating they are happy in their home.
