Hermits disappearing

My scalet reef hermit crabs seem to be disappearing and I am starting to notice crab parts on my sand bed. I have two wild percula clownfish, 2 sally lightfoot crabs, and some snails.
Do you think the sally lightfoot crabs could be killing my hermits?

do you have extra shells? When hermits grow they need to move into a bigger shell, if there are no shells available then they will either kill a snail or another hermit for there shell.

Those "crab parts" could just be the result of molting.
However, I've heard plenty about Sally Lightfoots becoming aggressive as they grow bigger.
And if you happen to find a snail's body outside its shell, that's more than likely because a hermit "evicted" it when it needed a new shell. Sadly, this could also be the reason there are "crab parts" lying around. If a more aggressive hermit needed a new shell, it could have killed another hermit and taken over.
