My hermit keeps on sitting next to my new zoanthid frag I bought yesterday. Is he eating it or cleaning around it or ??? Should I remove him? BTW he is a scarlet hermit.

He is probably cleaning it like TeresaQ said.
On a different note, sometimes hermits like to sit in the middle of stinging corals like star polyps or zoanthids after they molt because it makes them feel secure while their exoskeleton is hardening.
