But what software programs can create those alternating pictures if you make your own?

I use Ulead Gif animator...does a lot of stuff as far as animation goes....your own pics, or messing with gifs already....good program IMO. If I cared to spend more time.....I could have broken that gif down to single frames...used a photo editor to give the fish a mohawk, and reanimated it....takes some time.....you get the point... good program IMO , and you can munipulate any gif you see, or make your own. I just added a frame here that say "sammy rocks", ......basically to quickly show that you can change any GIF you see.....slow it. speed it, change it, whatever.

yeah I was gonna say ulead. Its a good program to edit images and make frame by frame gifs. Nie take on that Icon Sammy!
I would use ulead but i dont go to high school anymore, and thats the only place i was able to use it
