Just thought id let ya know im leaving for a while- a recent thread (some of you may have read) seemed to make several upset- A practical joke that some didnt find to funny- even though it was at no ones expence but my own. However the lack of humor and the nasty email i got resulting from it, is enough for me. I dont know who sent it but i seem to be not welcome here- even by some of the "higher powers". I was just having fun and trying to make a few people laugh- no other intentions were intended. So for all of those that arent upset; mabye ill find my way back in the future- but for now- later, and i had a good time while it lasted-

well- to put it in a nut shell- i had a buddy say some newbie type comments about my pictures including insulting the pics- i got into a petty staged argument with him and some other members joined in- eventually i said it was just a joke, for laughs, several thought it was funny, but some others thought i was being childish and i did it just to get attention- then came the email- i wont even go there... so i got defensive the thread was locked and then deleted. so... im sure ill come back but im gonna give it a month or two. Hopefully it will have faded by then

I didn't see the thread either but, I agree with jwtrojan. Looks to me like you just made a public explanation/apology. I'd hate to see you leave and I don't agree with anyone sending nasty emails. That's just a cheap shot when they do and I highly doubt you got a nasty email from anyone that gives decent advice here anyway.

the thread wasnt the problem- but an acclaimed member- who obviously had been here a while (by some of the comments made) sent an email which had some outrageous comments- some of the nicer ones were like- "You seem to show of all the time. Your cocky attitude and inconsistant behevior has been a topic off discussion between some other members and I, now I have a reason to say it to your face." that was the lighest of them all- i should have save it to try and find the sender but i guess it dosent matter- but that is more than enough reason for me

Now........would please, please, please, please, please not go?? I'm begging you to stay.
There isn't any reason for this.......really. You had some laughs.......some others did too. Some folks got offended but, hey......they'll get over it. Don't worry too much about the small stuff.......the board is getting to be quite a bit more active lately and I for one would really like to see you stick around and toss in some knowledge from time to time.......some humor too.

i usually dont care about stuff like this- there is no reason to stress over someone having a bad day- but the comments made seemed to come from somebody who has been around here for a while- a comment was made about one of the first threads i posted. If it was just some Joe Shmo- i could care less but to have someone who knows me here say i dont belong- ah...i dont know

Im gonna hate to see ya go. You should not let a stupid email by a "acclaimed member" get ya down. If you want to track them down check the trash in your email program. I have like 500 old emails in there....i never clean it

Well I sympathise with you Justin, hope it all works out for you. I was talking to your friend who was in on it with you yesterday, its plain ridiculous. There is someone on this board who is sending hate mail to members and it has to stop! Well, when I say on this board, someone who got details off this board anyway.

kickster...I saw the "funny" thread...and saw no problem with it....had a few concerns about a possible "flame" at first...but then saw what was going on.
I've no idea who would have e-mailed you directly in regard to the thread but I will say this...if the person that e-mailed you is not willing to admit it here in the forum why give him/her the pleasure of seeing you go. A jerk will hide and attempt to cause problems behind the sceens.
I've thought you were a valuable/positive/contributing member for a long time and I'd hate to see you leave due to the actions of a coward that is not willing to make his/her comments in a open forum!!!
I won't ask you to stay...obviously it is your choice...I will say I'd prefer you stay and the person that sent the e-mail leave!!!!!
Hopefully you'll be back around...I look forward to your input...take care.

Well, you have made your decision, and I totally respect that. Personally, I saw that thread and followed it from its development and after about the second or third post it became apparent to me that something other than honesty was going on there. Personally, i thought it was hysterical. And I read the threads that came from the "disgruntled" one . . . that individual was entirely out of line, especially considering the position that they are in.
To that individual who wrote that email ( you know exactly who you are ): I never saw it or read it . . . . but you my friend are the childish one. Grow up . . . and get the hell outta here, we are all obviously too immature for the likes of you.
