zebra moray are great as well and totally reef safe. I had one in a tank in my shop and we could feed teh little fella by hand. He was soooo cool. If i had a big enough tank i woulda bought him and given him a home!!!

Snowflakes are the safest for your tank mates but that's not saying much as they will eat anything they can get in their mouth. Keep it well feed though and your tank mates will survive. But if you want to watch it swim around you will be disapointed as they mainly stay hidden except when hungry.

I'd say try a small chain-link ( if you can find one ). I have one that is about 10 inches long and it is great. I have no problems with him eating my othe fish or bothering corals. He crabs a hermit that is holding food , once in a while. But that is to be expected.
About being active, the chain link is out all the time. He swims around the tank and comes to the glass whenever I'm around. I do hand feed mine, which is probably why he is so responsive.
Hope that helps

Well the only eel i would put in a reef tank is the golden dwarf.{G Melatremus}they stay small and will not eat small fish or your clean up crew.
