Many people have switched over to sand once the tank was established with liyyle or no problems. Just scoop out the CC and pour in the live sand. Use Natures Ocean live sand. NO RECYCLE.I would reccomend getting as much CC out as possible. This is most likly where your problem(nitrates) is...
