hey mr. salty,
i saw a while back ur description on your small tank that you put in the bottom of ur aquarium stand next to ur sump that u said grew algae or something that inturn helped to lower your nitrate level. i was just curious if you could describe to me what you did so i could do it myself. my nitrate levels are a high. so i'm changing out my bed to a live sand bed. anythin else i can do???

It's called an ALGAE REFUGIUM.There have been a million posts on the subject,so try doing a search here on the BB for it.If you have any specific Questions please ask away...You should also have a REAL GOOD SKIMMER to help in your nitrate battle....Also only feed once a day...
