Hey Bayouguy, Whereyat?
I grew up in Jefferson Parish, but left about 17 years ago. I miss it, but still get down there for the family and food every now and then. Hopefully, I'll be back in October. My Papa says the Reds and Specs are runnin' better than they have in 20 years! Think I'll be visiting Grand Isle, Leeseville and Fourchon.
Anyhow, the tank looks great! I think Xenia is my next addition. Have you ever considered a species tank with Lousiana fish? I had a 30 high, when I was a kid, with a few tiny puffers, a tiny Red, 2 mini Specs, etc. I filled it with critters I rescued from the trawl net. I wound up making it brackish, so I could add a Green Trout. The idea was a mini Lake Salvador. Anyhow, the Green Trout wound up killing everybody, if I recall correctly. Mean little bugger.

Thats gorgeous!!!
But here is a thought...
Do you have an OLD picture you could post? Something that shows the 'before' ??
I ask only because it might give us more confused newbies a little hope. :)

A complete set of pictures and the story of the evolution of my tank can be found at:

You'll see that I started with a lame-o undergravel filter and flourescent lighting. It's come a long way.
Regarding a Louisiana fish tank - interesting idea, but I'd probably have a hard time not raiding the tank for the dinner table.. LOL

By the way, I just noticed the full-tank picture is obviously a bit older than the close-ups because some of my corals are not in the full-tank picture...
