im debating. im etiher going to keep my current set up, set up my 75, set up my drilled 75, set up a nano, or completely get out of the hobby.
i was wondering how hard it would be to set up a 5.5 gallon softie reef tank w/ LS, LR, and no fish. could also do a 10 gallon but idk. any info / advice for me? thankss.

I would think if you are "considering" leaving the hobby you may as well, as your tendency in maintaining a tank may lean that way, leaving it and the inhabitants neglected. All in or out, when it comes to live stuff...JMHO

im just bored. i think if i set up a cool new tank ill be all into it again. i just got a job, so i can actually support my tank now. ive just been very depressed lately, and my tank isnt helping. i just thought a nano would be a fun project.

No worries, it will be spring soon enough
...just the winter blues I'm sure. The job and keeping busy should help as well. Works for me at least. Still I would not depend on the tank for its funk lifting abilities.

I vote 'get out of the hobby'....

If it's even a consideration, then go ahead and say your goodbye's....

huh? leave the hobby

nevaaaaa. get a nano small, takes no space, everything is supplied, (except fish, coral, sand,LR,water) but everything else is there...
and they arent high maintenance
.. NANO ONNNNN

and hey, there have been many many times in which i have considered getting out of the hobby, life gets hard, money gets tight, you sleep less and less, and sometimes the things you are passionate about dont excite you much anymore. dont get discouraged, you know you love the hobby... and we love your contribution on the forums!

I was just gonna say that too! I considered getting out of the hobby. My tank crashed and my really nice expensive coral all died and the only thing left were simple not oh so pretty. I maintained it, but it didn't look the same. I missed my beautiful bright tank. Then life got crazy.
But I hung on, life is back to normal and I'm fixing up my tank now to look oh so pretty again!!
