My friend has a 300 gallon tank, with ls. He is adding one bamboo shark eventually. But his q is, will he need a sand sifter? Will the shark be the sand sifter, or would he need another, fish or invert for the sifting? If so what fish/invert? O ya, he was wondering also what inverts can he keep in his tank with a bamboo? Thanks!

Big hermits and horseshoe crabs are great. If you could find small stone crabs those work well too. But once they get big they will goto war with the shark. I use horseshoe crabs mostly, they dont fight with sharks like hermits do. But hermits work good also. I had a really huge one that eventually got eaten because he harassed the sharks so much that they finally just bit his claws off. He lived for another two months without claws before they sucked him right out of the shell.
