Those are Anthelia Polyps.......they often grow at the same rate as Xenia, but I think they look cooler.

Not to argue, but I'm pretty sure it's Xenia. I've had anthelia before, and they do look very similar. However, this stuff (the Xenia) pulses. Is there a variety of anthelia that pulses?

Now I just need better subjects for my photos.
I found that the ISO setting made a big difference. I also used the adapter I have for my zoom lens and put the camera right up against the glass. I left my shutter speed on auto and set my aperature to 8. The ISO made a big difference in how grainy the pictures were/are.

Yes, generally at night after lights out. Once the room begins to lighten up at sunrise, they slowly start to extend again, becomming fully extended about 30 minutes after my halide kicks on.

I beleive that Anthelia Polyps are the type that can actually contract into the stalk. Xenia can't retract......the polyps just kinda bunch up at the top.
Someone correct me if I am wrong........it's very possible. :D

hrmm.... interesting. Maybe some type of hybrid???
My lights are due to kick back on in about 4 hours. I'll try to get some more pics... maybe a short video of the polyps pulsing.
