Do I need a test kit for my tank even tho i have seawater from my LFS and change it on time with h20 from my LFS and my tank looks good?
btw my LFS said I don't need a skimmer if im just doing fish and live rock? But I defintiely think I need some powerjets! how many powerjets should I get for a 38 gal tank with almost 30 lbs of live rock! can you reccomend a good powerjet? thanks

Yes you need test kits, and you will need to test about every 7-14 days. You will want a skimmer as well. I don't understand why your LFS would say no to a skimmer especially since that is another sale for them.
You should have about 760 gallons per hour flowing through your tank. Simple, inexpensive powerheads from Walmart will work fine.

I concur.
Affirmative on the test kits. Don't forget the refracrometer. Any marine tank will benefit from a skimmer.
