I was wondering what fish you all have had experience with keeping in such a small tank. I am doing my research now and I want to make sure I don't overstock the tank and everything is healthy for the fish.
This will be my first attempt at Salt Water. Right now Im keeping a 135 Gallon Freshwater tank with a TON of fancy plecos and various other fish.

I would love to have the 135 as a salt water, but my Black Ghost Knives and my Plecos are my favorites. Plus it's just not setup for salt. If I was to do a large SW I'd have to have a tank with a built in overflow and better filters than I all ready have.... It would/could be a pretty sweet tank though :) Maybe If Im able breed some L046 Plecos I can afford it :D

Or clowns and a sixline... With some cool shrimp maybe?
I just found a local guy selling a 14 nano cheap and I might go that route for a bedside aquarium.

That's what I did, I got this one for $75! It's on a stand right next to my bed right now with just water (and some left over krill STILL ALIVE!!). Im oging to work on selecting myt live rock first and making sure the tanks parameters are set before introducing any fish. Keep the ideas coming! :) The sixline sounds interesting!

That Midas Blenny is tempting, but I heard they need more room than my 14 can offer. But I could be wrong.
What about corals and invertabrates?
Right now it's looking like we would like two small clowns and a very nice reef/coral setup.

search for a person on the boards by the name of demartini she has a nice bio 14g setup with corals and what not!
in my bio14g i have 15lbs of live sand, 18lbs of live rock,
1 bubble tip anemone
1 clown
1 blood/fire shrimp( in the cleaning family of shrimp)
5 blue leg hermits
1 scarlet hermit
1 mexican turbo
2 astrae turbos
cheato algea( best thing i ever did it keeps all the nitrites, and nitrates down to 0ppm)
and i'm looking to add corals and another fish, but with the stock lights soft corals are the only corals we are able to keep! like mushrooms, zoas, polyp, leathers, and etc.
as far as fish, a pair of clowns, a goby or bleeny,a sixline wrasse, or damsels( some dont like them think there the devil fish! they get a lil aggressive) usually want something that not going to be any bigger the 3 inches and no more then 3 fish and thats pushing the limits of the tank! but do some more reseach and then youll know what to do! i have my tank at the foot of my bed and i couldnt be any happier!! goodluck!

I know fish create a heavy bioload in any type tank, especially something ---- samll. Do Corals and invertabrate add to the bioload? I am planning on keeping the fish down to probably 2 (my girlfriend REALLY wants clowns). But I am more interested in the soft corals and stuff like that. Is there a limit I should keep in mind? Also is there some corals and stuff that don't thrive well in these tanks?

Anything you are actively feeding adds to the bio-load. Corals and shrimp add much much less than a fish and the main concern with those is space competition. Feel free to load the tank up with as much coral as you'd like, but be sure that you get species that will get along.
Corals have nasty defense and expansion mechanisms. If you place corals that don't like each other too close together it usually ends up with one or both dying. Most of your softies will get along together just fine, but if you add something like a hammer or frogspawn you'll want to give it plenty of room as they have a very powerful sting and a surprisingly long reach.
