High hat

Will a high hat eat a large cleaner shrimp?

Anyone have any info on high hats? I get conflicting info when searching the net?

You get conflicting stories because they have conflicting behavior. In the wild, no, in captivity, maybe. Heres a trick that although isn't foolproof, a lot of times it works. Wait until the shrimp is cleaning a fish. Float the Hi hat in a clear container and acclimate him. A lot of times if they see the other fish getting cleaned they wont bother it. Like I said, I definately don't gauruntee this will work. The biggest problem is when you go to float him the fish getting cleaned will swim awwy.
