High Nitrates

Aside from using a nitrate sponge, what are some good ways to lower nitrates ??

thanks sammy... i have a skimmer that i use on and off...i should probably cycle (been 6 weeks) and reduce the amt. i am feeding...i think i have too many fish and not enough crabs, snails, etc..

Sammy, unfortunately, the same can be said for us humans as said for the fish. In the absense of hunting and scavenging for food or running from predators, we should be eating a lot less but instead eat more than ever! LOL
