Please help me with your knowledge,I have a problem with very high nitrates (60-80 range)I am in the process of moving everything from an old tank into my new one that im just getting started.So far the only thing that I have moved is live rock.I tested my water in both tanks just to keep everything in check,cause I didnt want any of my fish or inverts to die during this transition,thats when I noticed my nitrate levels in my old tank.I have done a 30% water change but it seems to have had no effect yet,please help ,tell me what to do.Thanks :confused: tsample2@mindspring.com

Need more info. What is your "old set up?" What kind of filtration etc. What fish and inverts do you have? Is your new tank currently cycling? I would continue water changes to get the nitrates down, without other info this is the best advice I can give with my experience. Sharks?
