HIGH PH

Hi all, I have a 125g fowlrls and am having trouble with the PH. The tank has been set up for 8 weeks, and has cycled already. I have 6 black mollies in there, with a Snowflake eel. I put an Amircle skimmer in after the cycle. Now my Ph keeps rising, 8.3-8.6. I am using Seachem Marine Buffer. Also green and brown alge is growing like crazy. Any ideas?

I could be wrong, but dont buffer solutions increase Ph levels?
There is an Amec Pharm. product called Ph down. I tried it but it never really did anything.

Yes thats what I thought. When I first set up the tank, I had problems with low PH. So added a lot of buffer. Maybe thats what is causing my problem?
