Hippo rubbing rocks

Whats this mean when my hippo is rubbing up against rocks?

Rubbing/scratching can oftemtimes be a preliminary indication of cryptocaryon (ich)

I agree it sounds like ich to me. Is the tang eating? If so you could feed him flakes dipped in crushed or liquid garlic, works the best instead of using copper when you have any inverts.

go get a cleaner wrasse and a cleaner shrimp, it'll take care of the ich

Could be a sign of ich but my hippo liked to rub on rocks and sand too and never had any ich. I read somewhere they like to do this sometimes....weird little(big) fish
