Hippo Tang Disease

Thursday I put 2 hippo tangs in my tank. They seeam to be doing fine and seem very happy. TOday i noticed one of them had small white dots all over its face and around its face. I have read that these fish are prone to disease, and Im new at this so I dont even know what ick looks like. How do I know if these fish are diseased? And wouldnt they have had to catch it from something?

they catch it from being stressed...they can be stressed by a change in the tank, another fish stressing them...or if they just feel like being stressed!!! Best course of action is to put all the fish in a QT tank and do hypo if it's ich...Also, you are going to want to move this thread to the disease forum...maybe a shark could do this for you.
