hippo tang has ich!

I just got a hippo tang for my FO tank that has no live rock, and i think he might have ich. What can i do to get rid of it? I did a search, and read about kick ich. Is that what i would want ot use since i have no live rock? Pleae help, im new to the saltwater hobby

Ok, i read about hypo but i have a few questions. It says the fish can not handle rapid increases in salinity, so you raise it over a week period, but how long does it take to lower the salinity? Can you do that faster? Also, is it ok to leave all the fish in their while doing this?

Thank you very much for your help. Im gonna do hypo, and then probably get some cleaner shrimp or somthing. I have one last quesiton though, and it is probably a stupid one..but, if it is ok to lower the salinity to 1.009, why not just leave it there if you dont have any inverts in your tank usually anyway?
