Hippo Tang help!

On impluse my partner bought a 5 inch hippo tank about 6 weeks ago for the office tank.
90 Gallons
All levels good
tank mates:
1 purple tang 6 inches, 2 clown fish, 1 damsel, 1 cardinal fish, 1 firefish, 1 goby
, 1 elegance coral, 1 chili coral, mushrooms
The tank has been established for about 8 years with live sand and live rock.
The problem is the hippo tank will not eat. I realize he must have eaten something over the six weeks, but I never see him eat. There is no algae araound the tank for him to graze on so I do not know what he is feeding on. He is starting to lose weight but other than that is active and healthy looking. He swims actively and is not shy.
I have tried to feed him Frozen brine and formula two, flake food, hulian sprung green and red seaweed with and without Zoe, broccoli and romaine, as well as dainichi herbivore pellets.
He will sometimes graze on shavers brush but that about it. Any suggestions to get him to feed?
Thanks

Have you tried Nori sheets? You could also try to put some chaeto in the tank, I read they eat that. But I have no experiance w/ tangs. Just trying to pass on what I read.

have you offered him any dry seaweed,
or spirlina flakes, sometimes they will eat that and then eat some carnivorous fish food like brine shrimp; you have to offer him lots of marine vegetables, at the LFS they even feed they tangs zuchini, basically offer him tons of herbivorous food
