hippo tang problem

Well my hippo was dealing with round 2 of Ich.. she was responding well to the copper and all the white spots have gone. However I noticed tonight that there are dark blotchs all over her and like grey marks on her black lines down her side.

Unfortunately, tangs do not respond well to copper treatment.
I'm assuming that you have the fish in a QT? Take a look at the FAQ Thread at the top of this fourm, and the procedure there on hyposalinity. Hyposalinity is the best treatment for ich.

yeah its in QT> I did look over the hyposalinity before. Like I said this is the second time its had Ich and copper worked like a champ the first time. Are the dark blotches still a result of the ich? The fish seems to be doing ok. Swims all over and eats great.

As I said, tangs do not fair that well with copper. The blotches could very well be a reaction to copper. What do these blotches look like exactly?
