hippo tank maybe ich?????

Hey guys I have a blue hippo tang that I have had for about 5 months I think she may have ich I just noticed some white spots on here side there are problobly about 6 or 8 total right now some look like white dots others look like little pimples on here side some of the pimples having white some not
there are so few that it is hard to get a picture but I've posted a few hopefuly one of the experts will see something.

Hey Jason, the fish looks like it got stung by something, perhaps. Is this fish in a reef tank? Do you have an anemone? How is the fish acting and eating?

fish is eating great huge appetite
However I did just kill a beg aptasia about a week ago and yes it is in a reef tank with a diamond goby and a blue reef cromis
I will keep trying to det a better picture becuse the white dots have me worried even though you can't see them in the picture

Hippo Tangs are one of the tangs that are known to get ich. Looking at the picture it doesn't look like there are white spots so he/she may not have ich. I would suggest puting the tang in a QT until you can identify what it really is. You might want to have it checked out by your local fish store if you are worried it might be ich.

Those pictures don't really show white spots, but more like some kind of puncture...hard to tell.

I'm not sure that moving him into a QT is the best option right now. Hippo tangs are so incredibly nervous that it may just stress him out for what appears to be minor (whatever it is). If it is a minor infection that he can fight off on his own, then moving him might stress him enough to make it worse.
If it's a physical injury the stress of moving may serve as a vehicle for a secondary infection.
I'd give this time and see if it clears up on it's own.
JMO.
