Hippo + Yellow . . .

In my 75gal reef, the only fish I have now is a yellow tang. I was wondering if I could also add a hippo. There is a lot of lr (85lbs) to hide and play in. What is everyone's opinion?

if they're small it could work...usually the yellow is more agressive...it would be better to have the hippo in first and then the yellow.

Several years back I had that combo and it worked very well. It does work better if the hippo is established in the tank fist because it is the less aggressive fish. If your tang is small you may be able to add the hippo and get away with it. If your yellow tang is older and well establish it could molest the poor hippo.

I'm about to try the same thing. I have a yellow tang (about 4 inches) and I'm going to try to introduce a Hippo. My lfs said it shouldn't be a problem as long as he's healthy.
