Hit the wall on nitrites

125 gallon (160 total) fish only system w/liverock and shallow sandbed for aesthetics only.
-3 cleaner shrimps
-30 or 40 small kine zebra and elegant hermit clean-up crew
-1 Royal Gamma
-1 Sailfin Tang
-1 Flame Angel
-1 Longnose Butterfly
-1 Yellow Watchman Goby
-2 Perculas
-A few hitching crustaceans and inverts which I'm weeding out as discovery and opportunity permits.
All livestock seems to be in pristeen condition.
Tanks been up and running a couple months now. All parameters are excellent except for nitrites which are 0.1. This has been the status quo for weeks now. Upside is trates stay between 2 and 5.
Any ideas why my trites won't zero-out? :notsure:

your tank is still new, eventually they will fall to 0, but .1 is still a good reading

Thanks for the reassurance. Just irritating to still see color in my test cavity after seeing so much progress earlier on. Maybe I should just stop testing everyday.
